Human & Rohde worked with the Baltimore County Office of Property Management to prepare plans and details for improvements to this one-acre historical park in preparation for the celebration of the War of 1812. The interior park improvements were closely coordinated with associated streetscape improvements by others. Our design included new pavement around the cannon monument and flagpole, an accessible ramp to the platform, and placement of granite monument markers honoring fallen soldiers. The new stonework for the ramp expansion was closely matched to the original materials of the monument platform for a seamless appearance. SketchUp modeling was prepared to assist the owners with visualizing the improvements.
